After months of waiting and surrogate drama Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick finally got to bring their new twins – Marion and Tabitha – home from the heavily guarded hospital.

Sarah and Matthew apparently stealthed their way out of East Ohio Regional Hospital Thursday morning. From People:

According to a hospital employee, a maroon SUV and a white van were seen leaving the hospital around 11 a.m. escorted by numerous police cars with New York license plates. A hospital security guard told the employee “the babies left in that white van.”

During their stay at the hospital, Parker, Broderick, their surrogate and daughters, Marion and Tabitha, were allowed lots of privacy – even from curious hospital workers.

Born Monday night to surrogate mother Michelle Ross, the twins were a hot item in Martins Ferry gossip circles, but the police and hospital staff apparently did an excellent job guarding the privacy of SJP, Matthew and their surrogate. That is, except for the two police chiefs accused of breaking into Ross’ house.

“Even the nurses are trying to get a glimpse” said one passerby who was visiting someone at the hospital. “The nurses are trying to get a peek, but even they cant.”
