Jeff Goldblum Is Dead?

jeff goldblum is dead Jeff Goldblum Is Dead?

All is not right with the world today, because reports are now coming in that Jeff Golblum died early this morning in New Zealand.

The story is still developing, but preliminary reports from New Zealand police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set.

Oh dear god, please say it isn’t true. He didn’t even get to be a dad yet, which the following quote (This Is London) suggests was something he thought about. He had so many talents to pass on. He was among other things a jazz pianist, and an accomplished actor.

“I’ve put a lot of time into relationships,” he says. “A nine and a six-year marriage, and then a four and a two-year relationship. I’ve put time into domestic exclusivity and enjoyed it very much, but I also enjoy being single right now. I have been romantic in the past but I don’t think I am currently romantically sold on the ideal of marriage. I like kids but I am happy not to have any of my own right now. You know, I’m confident in my acting, I play my music, I’m as hearty as I’ve ever been and when I go home at night I like it nice and quiet.”

He looks around him. The implication is that, if he were tied down, he couldn’t just up sticks and come here to do Speed-the-Plow, to “do acting”, the thing he loves. “But hey,” he says, flashing that grin again, “I can fall in love totally and something may happen tomorrow that changes everything.”

I don’t know what to say, but if it’s true he will be sorely missed, and if it’s a hoax it’s in terrible taste on this horrible day.

***Update***

Good News – After Further investigation Jeff Goldblum Isn’t Dead. I am sincerely glad it’s not true, but feel like a schmoe for falling for the hoax. Yes, Yes, call me names, it’s okay.

Hey, it’s the source I got. If it’s a hoax it’s not mine.

This is fake. Replace the name in the link and you’ll end up with the same story just with the name you added. Please don’t spread this around.

It’s a hoax. Compare with known Tom Hanks death hoax from 2006: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/tomhanks.asp

Check the NZ Police website. They have made an official statement that no such incident occurred.

I did follow the source which is why I did more investigating and found out it was a hoax. Someone even went to the trouble to add it to his wiki page. I looked it up!

Well, it’s been proven to be a hoax now, but is he even in New Zealand? He was just on the Colbert Report a couple of days ago, even if he did fly there straight away, I highly doubt that he would be on set already. That’s the part that set off my BS alarm.
