Gwen Stefani Is A Mom Just Like Me
I always liked Gwen Stefani’s music in both No Doubt and on her own, but it wasn’t until she had kids though that I really came to appreciate her as a person.
She’s a real mom. I believe she’s a celebrity who knows what it’s like to be a mom first. You know the day in and day out drudgery that comes with being a mom. No, I am not saying that it sucks to be a mom, but there are a lot of repetitive things moms do during the day that can be mind numbing.
Gwen realizes the importance of the things she does as a mom for her family. She knows that they are more important than her singing/songwriter duties. She said, “Maybe once I sleep through the night, I’ll be able to write a song. That’s where I’m at. Now I’m a wife and a mother of two. It’s a really different role. My priorities are always going to be my husband and my family now. That’s a huge, huge thing.”
You never really appreciate your own moms and all the hard work they did while raising you until you have kids of your own.
