Kate Gosselin Filed For Divorce FIRST Because Jon CHEATED?!
For about 30 seconds, it looked like Jon and Kate Gosselin were going to give their relationship another go, maybe try marriage therapy, but that is never going to happen now. Why? Is it because Jon DID cheat and for Kate, that is an absolute deal breaker?
According to Kate, Jon did something that made it necessary for her to file for divorce NOW. No ifs, ands, or buts. She won’t say what he did to make her rush to file the papers, but one could speculate, based on previous photos, sightings, videos and rumors, that perhaps Jon was unfaithful.
Or, please, please, please, do not let this be some sort of ratings grab for their TLC show. Been there, done that, and it felt weird, didn’t it?
Kate released this statement after the airing of Monday night’s “divorce” episode:
“Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children. While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children.”
“Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures…” His activities? As in his extramarital activities? What is she referring to? Will we find out? Probably, I guess, at some point. We’ve been kept up to date about all the rest of it.
Jon did seem quite happy though, didn’t he? He felt hurt, but “excited” about the new chapter in his life and reminded everyone that he’s “only 32″ so, still young enough to find that “special” someone and maybe pop more babies out? I have to say my sympathies went to Kate (well, to the kids first and foremost!)… she truly seemed sad at times and Jon seemed like, ‘let’s get this divorce on the road, I have places to go, people to sleep with, er, see.’
Luckily, for the kids, Jon & Kate Plus 8 is on hiatus until August. Perhaps Jon and Kate can get their act together (well, apart at this point in time) and focus ON THEIR CHILDREN and their needs.
