BREAKING: Jon and Kate Gosselin File for Divorce
It’s official: The very public marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin is coming to an end. People magazine is reporting that the couple filed documents to initiate a legal split at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Pa., Monday afternoon. Guess we now know what their mystery ‘announcement’ is going to be on tonight’s show.
The legal split comes amidst months of speculation about the Gosselin’s 10-year marriage that, along with their brood of eight, is the center of the TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus Eight. Their parting is hardly a surprise, though, given the couple’s recent problems; Jon is rumored to have had an affair with 23-year-old Deanna Hummel, and has been spending huge amounts of time in the company of young women while drinking, shopping and dressing like a 17-year-old. For her part, there were rumors that Kate was seeing way too much of her bodyguard, her hairstylist and a tanning bed. Trust me, none of it looks good.
No word yet on what the custody arrangement for their eight children will be, but I suspect it’ll be a contentious divorce. Hey, another spinoff show for TLC – Jon vs. Kate Over Eight.
