Ashlee Simpson Unhappy With Marriage & Motherhood?
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz married on May 17, 2008 and welcomed their first child, son Bronx, seven months ago, and outwardly it seems they have it all. However, according to sources, Ashlee is unhappy in her marriage and is upset that she’s the one always caring for baby Bronx.
According to sources, Simpson has “reverted” to drinking to mask her sadness. Apparently her relationship with husband Pete is near the breaking point and the 24-year-old pop star uses drinking as “an outlet for her unhappiness.”
A pal said, “She is reverting to drinking and going out, because she is sick and tired of her life. This is an outlet for her unhappiness. It’s a bad situation, and Pete is getting fed up.”
Another insider said the Melrose Place actress is overwhelmed with motherhood. “Ashlee loves motherhood but misses her life without responsibility.”
Hey, we all have those feelings of being overwhelmed once in a while and it’s normal to think about our “free” days before committments, jobs, babies, and responsibilities.
Maybe Pete should be on daddy duty more often, while Ashlee enjoys some “me” time! All moms need that!
