Sean Penn’s Heart Broken By Natalie Portman?
Following Sean’s completely out of the blue announcement that he’s dropping everything, including a much-anticipated (by me) The Three Stooges movie, for a whole year to focus on the family, the rumors are flying fast and loose.
Would it make sense for Sean to spend a year trying to patch things up with his wife and kids Dylan, 18, and Harper Jack, 15 after a two divorce filings in only 18 months? Sure.
Is that what Sean’s really up to? Who knows? But the rumor mill is full of alternative (less altruistic) explanations:
Rumor #1 – Sean filed for divorce back in April because he thought his alleged relationship with Natalie Portman was really going somewhere. When Natalie denied the relationship publicly, Sean was heartbroken and now he’s trying to pick up the pieces.
Rumor #2 – This whole ‘focus on the family’ stunt is really just a cover for Sean to check into a lengthy rehab program for his long-rumored love of the “nose-candy.” Hmmm, seems remotely plausible.
Hopefully, none of this gossip has any real merit. Still, you’ve got to admit, scrapping a bunch of major movie deals to work things out in a marriage that has seemed doomed for years doesn’t seem all that plausible either.
Is Sean Penn really that much of a family man? Of course, divorces are tough on kids, but that didn’t stop Robin and Sean from putting the kids through two partial divorces already.
