Of all the interior designers in all the world, Madonna has narrowed the field down to one world-renown artist to decorate Mercy’s room: Gwyneth Paltow.

Of course, Gwyn’s interior design career has been kinda overshadowed by her work on the big sceen, but she has produced a few notable, timeless works of design, such as: her daughter Apple’s bedroom.

Apparently, Gwyneth’s work on Apple’s room impressed Madonna enough to enlist her help in making Mercy’s room all that it can be when she arrives in few days. From The Sun:

A source revealed: “Madge wants Mercy to feel like a little princess when she arrives.

“Gwyneth has a home in the Hamptons area of New York and Madonna was so impressed with her daughter APPLE’s room that she asked Gwyneth to help her kit out Mercy’s new bedroom.

“As well as all the items inside, she’s also commissioned a mini Georgian-style treehouse for Mercy and David in her garden.

Apparently, it’s not just Madonna that’s making sure that Mercy’s homecoming will be consumertastic:

The source added: “Lourdes is beside herself with excitement about her new sister.

“She’s really looking forward to having a little girl in the house she can care for. She’s bought piles of leggings, hipster T-shirts, tutus and trainers for the new arrival.”

Will Mercy’s room rival the Disney-themed playroom Ashlee and Pete commissioned for Bronx?

Right now, Mercy is with Madonna’s people in Malawi, waiting on paperwork to get processed.
