Sean Penn Takes A Year Off For ‘Family Time’
After a second on-again, off-again divorce with wife Robin Wright Penn, he seems to be making a big effort to patch things up with the mother of his two children — Hopper Jack, 15, and Dylan, 18. Sean has reportedly walked away from two would-be blockbusters (The Three Stooges and Cartel) to spend time with the fam.
Sean has apparently let the producers on both projects know that he won’t be available for either shoot. Some are saying that the Oscar winning actor might leave the movie biz for an entire year in order to focus his attention on the family.
Will it work? I’m not a gambling man, but at this point, I can’t see giving it more than a 40% of working out long-term.
In fact, I can’t imagine how exactly you go through not one, but two very public divorce filings and still find a way to smooth things over — especially when you’re suspected of cheating with Natalie Portman. Still, let’s hope they do.
Honestly, I’m kinda disappointed — no, make that beyond disappointed that Sean’s potentially killing The Three Stooges. The world needs the Stooges now more than ever, and Sean was set to join an all star cast including Jim Carrey as Curly and Benicio del Toro as Moe.
Do you think Sean and Robin will be able to make nice? Or is this cycle just destined to repeat?
