2009 Teen Choice Awards: Angelina & Brad Are Cool!

Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt might be adults and parents of six kids, but apparently the couple still have ‘it’ in the eyes of teenagers! Both picked up 2009 Teen Choice Award nods.
Brad is nominated for ‘Choice Movie Star: Drama’ for his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He’s up against Hugh Jackman (Australia); Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire); Robert Pattinson (Twilight) and Channing Tatum (Fighting).
Angie is chosen for “Choice Movie Actress: Drama’ in her role in Changeling, about a mom of a kidnapped boy. Her competition: Nicole Kidman (Australia); Beyonce (Obsessed); Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) and Kristen Stewart (Twilight).
The celebrity couple will compete against each other in category of ‘Choice Celebrity Activist.”
OK, this definitely has to put Angelina and Brad up a notch on the ‘cool’ radar with their kids. Sure, they’ll still be embarassed when mom comes to pick them up at school in her nightgown (yes, I can totally picture Angelina Jolie arriving to pick up Maddox in her pjs) or when dad answers the door in his boxers and robe when Bobby arrives to pick up Zahara for junior prom, but at least they can say, “hey, my parents were once nominated for a Teen Choice Award even when they were kinda old!”
But the coolness will be temporary, then it’ll be back to, “Aw, mom, dad, you guys are soooo embarassing!
Tune in Monday, August 10, when the show airs on FOX.
