Has Jon Quit Jon & Kate Plus 8?

It’s no secret Jon Gosselin seems to be so over the family thing and has been spending less time with his wife Kate, and more time away from home.  But has the reality TV star dad quit their TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8?

According to Us Weekly, Jon Gosselin wants out of the popular TV show but because of contracts, can’t leave just yet.  Plus, the money he makes is just too good to pass up – until he has enough to be able to live comfortably and possibly enough money to pay child support, seeing as that’s how things could possibly heading.

Speaking of divorce, and children and custody – who would get the kids, should Jon and Kate separate?

A source told OK!, “In most custody cases, the mother retains custody.  [But] people could think Kate is behind the need to place the kids in the spotlight.

“Perhaps with Jon not there, she could focus even more on the cameras,” added Gold, an expert on child-custody cases.  She said Kate’s traveling for speaking engagements could pose a problem for her.  “Being a stay-at-home dad would  help Jon.  That’s not to say he has a slam dunk case for full custody.  He takes a lot of trips without the kids and has been photographed at bars with young women.”

The couple could even have a 50/50 custody arrangement.  Gold said, “It’s really going to be interesting how it plays out.”

Oh yes, sit back and watch the trainwreck.  Sad.
