NASCAR Driver Johnny Benson Injured in Fiery Crash (VIDEO)
NASCAR Truck champion Johnny Benson is in serious but stable condition after a fiery crash that occurred on Saturday night at Berlin Raceway in Michigan. (Continue reading to see the video)
Benson, 45, suffered multiple injuries including burns and broken ribs when his car slammed into a wall and erupted into flames.
It isn’t clear if Benson’s family was in the stands at the time, but either way it must be terrifying for daughters Mikayla and Katelyn to know that their father was involved in such a horrific crash. It’s often been said that the children and spouses of individuals who are involved in risk-taking activities are aware of the dangers involved, but I’m sure that, especially for children, nothing can fully prepare them for these types of accidents when they happen.
Our thoughts are with the entire family, and we wish a swift recovery for Benson.
