Drea de Matteo and Shooter Jennings Get Engaged On Stage

Shooter Jennings really does know how to put on a show. The singer proposed to his longtime girlfriend Drea de Matteo during his concert on Thursday night in New York. Thank goodness she said yes.
According to Us magazine, de Matteo was completely surprised. “He called her on stage and she had no idea,” a source says. “She was with their daughter; her parents were in the audience. She was totally surprised but overjoyed. It’s been a long time coming. They have a beautiful love story. They are both thrilled.”
De Matteo and Jennings’ baby daughter, Alabama Gypsyrose, looks totally surprised and in shock. I’m wondering if she had any say in the decision. Then again, how many kids can say they witnessed their parents getting engaged?
And, because no celebrity these days can live a moment without Twittering about it, Jennings also made his Twitter announcement. “Asked drea to marry me on stage tonight. I’m a lucky man. I’ll never forget Utica, Ny. Hands off m—–f—— she said yes but she’s mad.”
Ah, another tender missive for the baby book.
