VIDEO: Kate Gosselin Is NOT Momzilla, Right?

Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom Kate Gosselin loves routine, and order, and who can blame her? Can you imagine having multiples and not any sort of plan mapped out for your daily activities? But is Kate too strict? A video has surfaced, and it portrays Kate in a not-so-flattering light… or are we looking at it all wrong?
Video after the jump
From Huffington Post:
The video, taken during an appearance on ‘Access Hollywood,’ shows one of the twins, Mady, telling her mom she’s thirsty.
“I want a drink. I haven’t had a drink all day, Mady exclaims, head in hand, as Kate ignores her. “I’m going to get dehydrated!”
Kate then claims, “Yes, me too,” and asks for a bottle of water.
Water in hand, Kate sips some, puts the bottle down and does not offer Mady any.
As the kid pleads, “I need a drink now” Kate tells her to “be quiet,” to which Mady says, “You’re really, really mean!”
Watch the clip:
OK… I’m going to defend Kate. We don’t know what happened prior to that bit of footage, right? Maybe Kate had asked each of the kids if they wanted a drink, maybe some of the kids said yes, maybe some said no. Maybe Mady declined her chance to have a drink and then, as we all know, kids will sometimes change their minds at the most inconvenient time. And you know if she had of given Mady a drink, then all the other kids would have piped up… been there, done that (well, not that I’ve been interviewed on TV by Access Hollywood), but you get what I mean.
And if you watch the last few seconds of the video clip, Kate reaches down and is going to give Mady the water bottle, but she must get word that they are about to go on air and she’s not able to hand her daughter the water.
I don’t think Kate is the harsh mom she is sometimes made out to be.

maeby commented on Jun 13 09 at 10:04 ami understand where you and she are coming from. the kids probably WOULD have all wanted a drink, but i really dont care if the camera doesnt like the water bottle. if my kids are thirsty, they’re thirsty. i’m not gonna deny them water. but i get that shes trying to keep order with all the kids, given that she has to do all on her own.
jess commented on Jun 13 09 at 9:59 pmI’m going to have to say that to me it seemed like there was something else going on. Yes she could have given her a drink and if you really listen when Mady says she is thirsty and wants a drink so do some of the other kiddos. Plus, and it could just be me but Mady seemed a little, how shall we say, bratty when she talked to her mom. Therefore it makes me think that there was a confrontation beforehand. And yes she was going to give her some before they ran out of time AND when you think about it these interviews last about 10 min. if that. She wasn’t going to get dehydrated in 10 mins. My two cents.

disgusting woman.
wow commented on Jun 15 09 at 7:18 pmIt IS mean to drink right in front of your thirsty children and not offer them any. The way you do one thing is the way you do everything.
Danielle commented on Jun 16 09 at 12:43 amARe you kidding me, she doesn’t raise those kids, the sitters do. She is not a victim mom of 8 left all on her own while her husband cheats on her. She is the biggest most controlling Biotch I have ever seen, She seriously neglects those children and just like the octo mom, who doesn’ have custody of her other 5 or whatever kids, neither one of them deserve to have children.
jackie commented on Jun 17 09 at 5:42 amOMG!!!!! Whoever writes this is Clueless!! Not a bad mom? rukidding us?
all the kid wanted was WATER — not a box of hostess ho-ho’s.
get real!! You have NO CLUE! These kids had to do one sat interview after another with a bunch of tv programs — and all she wanted was water?
Huh? she can’t drink while the cameras are rolling — WHY NOT!!!????
IT’s…..WATER!!!!
I’m so sick of people defending this despicable behavior!!
What the H*** are you waiting for? Now we have pics of the mom grabbing and hitting her child — in ANGER! We already have her GRABBING and YANKING her child DURING a LIVE INTERVIEW!!!!!!
What more do you need?
Or…maybe you are just a bad mom, too!
Anyone who puts an interview before a child’s need – IS A BAD MOM – period….end of story.
(feel sorry for kate’s kids…and yours, too…..what is the world coming to when you parents raise kids this way — shame, shame, shame on you)
ps…if you can’t handle giving your thirsty, over-worked, under HOT LIGHTS child a freaking drink of WATER….send ‘em my way — plenty of love, patience and compassion over here….not cruelty.
jackie commented on Jun 17 09 at 5:48 amjess…you stated “as going to give her some before they ran out of time”
Ran out of time for what????? Why can’t she drink on camera? They were all playing with slinkys and other toys – WHO CARES!!!!!
Who the freak cares if she has a drink?
I honestly don’t understand you people denying a child a basic, human need — freaking water!
The child said she had NOT had a drink ALL DAY! Of course there was alot going on you don’t know about.
People think what shows up every week magically appears there — but that is just a fraction of the story.
These interviews are done back-to-back-to-back-to-back….etc….the kids don’t catch a break.
Over and over again we hear the parents whine about what “Hard Work” the show is — well? They are the adults — what about the children.
They put in hours of filming for the show – THEN — they have to do all these back-to-back interviews.
You have no idea of what they have to do to promote the show.
YES – there is ALOT going on — ALOT of FORCED child labor and no one looking out for the interest of the children. The parents (sadly) have put money before the welfare of their children — and a child cannot even get a little drink of water. How ridiculous!!
