For weeks, rumor’s had Brad and Angie on the brink of a breakup, but the latest news totally contradicts the break up rumors. It appears that Brangelina is going to adopt two African American brothers who are currently in foster care, Willis and Arnold Jackson… Wait, isn’t that the premise of Different Strokes?

I loved that show! The HuffPo ran a hilarious spoof article a la The Onion about Brad and Angie working to upstage  Madonna with an even more ethnically diverse family i.e. by adding the brothers from Different Strokes.

Now that Madge has been cleared to adopt Mercy James, she’s taken a slight lead over the Jolie-Pitts. A lead that can only be overcome by replicating the storyline of one of the classic 80′s sitcoms.

Says a ficticious Angelina:

“Sure we’ve gathered beautiful brown children from all over the world to help create our blended family,” Jolie said. “But we knew it wouldn’t be complete until we had some children from America.”

Older brother Willis had this to say:

“They were trying to treat me like a jive turkey… No way I was going with them white dudes without my little bro.”

The spoof article has led to some controversy, of course, as well as a fair amount of debate about whether the hypothetical adoption of the ficticious brother by Brangelina would be a positive thing for the Jackson brothers.

What do you think? Is the article offensive? Do you think that Willis and Arnold would be better off with Brangelina, or is it better that they ended up with Phillip Drummond.
