Madonna’s Booking Private Jet Just In Case
Despite announcements to the contrary from Madonna’s PR reps and her adoption lawyer, the interweb is still abuzz with rumors that Madonna’s adoption is all but a done deal.
The big rumor circulating right now is that the queen of pop is getting her travel plans in order for her looming adoption — that could come as soon as this Sunday. From Showbizspy:
“Officials at Madonna’s charity Raising Malawi yesterday revealed she had already made plans for a private jet to fly Mercy to New York.”
The case that decides whether David Banda will get a Malawian sister all hinges on the ruling of 3 judges. According to rumors out today, 2 out of the 3 have voiced opinions that the law blocking foreigners from adopting Malawian children is “archaic.”
From the Mirror:
“The Eye of the Child – which opposed the adoption – failed to convince the bench why the orphanage was better for Mercy than Madonna’s residence.”
Government sources said the President backed the star. One said: “We have close to two million orphans here so even if only one is adopted we have to celebrate.”
Who knows if any of this is credible. The only sure thing that’s for sure at this point is that the law preventing foreigners from adopting sucks, and should be overturned asap.
