Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes: It’s Over?!
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been married since November 18, 2006 and are parents of one child together, Suri, 3 (Tom has two teen kids with ex Nicole Kidman), and all seems wonderful, right? Not so, according to sources. The couple are reportedly “close to splitting.”
Why all the tension between Tom and Katie? Well, Tom wants another baby with Katie, but she’s not ready to have another child yet. She does want to have more kids, but right now, is focused on her career.
An insider told Grazia mag, “The situation has gone from being a difficult relationship, fraught with problems that seemed solvable, to a very unhappy situation that could well end in a split. No one would be surprised if Katie was considering her options in a worst case scenario.
The source added, “Katie’s father [Martin Holmes, a divorce attorney] would be able to advise her on the names of the top California-based divorce lawyers should she need them.”
But, pals of the Cruises say the divorce rumors are just that – rumors. They say Katie would fight to make her relationship with Tom work. “It has often been claimed that Katie is controlled by Tom and that’s not surprising given home much they adhere to the strict rules of Scientology.
“But Katie knows Tom is a good husband and, more importantly, a great father and he loves nothing more than to shower her and Suri with gifts and attention.”
I’d have to agree. For all of Tom’s weirdness at times (when it comes to Scientology), it’s clear he loves his family and is a good daddy.
