5 Things We Can Learn From Big Miracle
I was far from home on a boat miles from shore with a couple dozen journalists and mom bloggers (a handful of them succumbing to bouts of sea sickness) looking desperately for the chance to see a real whale in the wild,. As I sat there starring at the rocky waves, I realized that the movie I had just seen, the movie we were all there for, had taught me far more than I had thought it would have. That movie is Big Miracle.
Initially I thought it was going to be one of those cute Drew Barrymore romantic comedies. But it wasn’t that at all. It was a whale of a tale, and I mean that literally.
Here are five things that our families can learn from Big Miracle. Continue reading »

Is Beyonce The Next “X-Factor” Judge?
Talk about having an incredible six months. Chart topper Beyonce just gave birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy after having one of the most-talked about pregnancies since ever and now there’s a new hot rumor going around that she might be the next X-Factor judge.
Talk about making a post-baby comeback!
According to Us Weekly, Simon Cowell has supposedly offered the new mom a cool $100 million, which would be the highest paying gig on television. If this is true, and Beyonce does take the job then that would make Blue Ivy Carter the richest celebrity baby to ever drool on a hand-stitched Louis Vuitton burp cloth.
The mag states that Mariah Carey was originally X-Factor producer Cowell’s choice, but things have changed, a source told MediaTakeOut.com, which first reported the rumor. Continue reading »

“Teen Mom” Leah Messer Turns to God After Bombshell Confession
As the saying goes, a little confession is good for the soul – or so Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer believes.
On Tuesday, the young mother admitted on Twitter to something she’d been denying for a while: She was unfaithful to her ex-husband, Corey Simms, the father of her twins Ali and Aleeah.
“Okay, I cheated a week before my wedding people,” she said curtly. “I’m tired of hearing about it. At least I’m not a coward, and can admit my faults!”
Naturally, she got flak for her indiscretion, but Leah fired back at her critics: “It was one of my regrets in my life, stop accusing and pointing fingers,” she tweeted. “Things happen to people different ways. #GodsMyJUDGE”
Looks like she’s taking that hashtag seriously. Since her startling confession, her tweets have been taking a distinctly spiritual tone. Continue reading »
