A Baby Carrier That Let’s You Carry Them Any Way

They call it the Free Hand Baby Carrier, and there’s no doubt Together Be’s new babywearing apparatus is versatile.

Wear ‘em on your back. Wear ‘em on your front. Wear baby . . . or toddler. Wear them facing in. Wear them facing out. And put it on Mom or Dad.

Given a test run, the carrier’s straps provided ample support, and the padding on the shoulders was a relief compared to some that we’ve found cut into the skin. Though sturdy, the supports were fairly flexible and picking the carrier up without baby there’s no heft to it at all.

So what are the downsides? It’s got a suede outside – which is machine washable, but if you have pets will attract fur like nobody’s business. It’s also on the upper end of the cost range for carriers at $119.95, although with a size rating from 8 to 35 pounds, that’s a one-time price.
