Getting Fit With Hello Kitty

Families who have been counting on the Wii to keep their kids moving have another ally in the fight against childhood obesity, and she’s awfully cute.

Sanrio has teamed up with Nintendo to roll out a Hello Kitty yoga mat and carrying case for their Wii balance board. They’re packaged together, but even non-Wii fans can use the yoga mat to get their kids excited about exercise.

A bright pink with a smiling kitty on one end, the mat comes with a Velcro band with their favorite cat on it, so it’s easy to tote around by itself – the better for setting up impromptu dance recitals in the kitchen while Mom and Dad make dinner or in the living room to “work out” while the family vegs.

The carrying case won our hearts even without the cute kitty – the strap stretches across the front of the body to reduce strain on the back, and it’s a perfect way to cart the balance board to granny’s to show off your new moves.
