lullaby2 The Babble Review: Lullaby Exercises + Exclusive Offer!

Let’s cut to the chase: Love this. Buy this. Seriously. As I’ve mentioned before, the baby carrier (whichever kind you prefer, though I happen to be a Bjorn-style type of gal) has been one the most important product discoveries of my motherhood career because it’s the quickest and least painful (for me) way to get him to sleep. Not to mention, I can get work done around the house, carry around a 20-pound child without my arm going numb, and now, apparently, I can exercise. [READ ON FOR AN EXCLUSIVE OFFER!!]

Lullaby Exercises from chicks-n-chickens is a great concept: If you’re going to have a heavy baby strapped to your chest, you might as well take advantage. The 35-minute DVD has dancing (which babies LOVE!), squats and ab exercises (while standing) — all with the baby close and safe. Then, it wraps up with soothing moves to send your baby to snoozeville, so you can then put him/her in the crib and collapse on the couch…but in a good way.

Trust me, I’ve never been about fitness DVDs because of the corny factor, but the Lullaby Exercises music isn’t cheesy and the exercises aren’t silly. (Ok, some are a little silly, but that’s what makes the babies smile.) Granted, I haven’t hit the gym in over a year, but I definitely felt the workout — in fact, I’m still feeling it. The way I look at it, if we’re going to be dancing around, entertaining and playing with our kid anyway, we might as well use some of that time to benefit us. Yes, I could argue that we’re exercising every time we strap a baby on and walk through the park, go up and down stairs or vacuum the living room. However, having an easy way to dedicate 35 solid minutes to exercising makes me feel more productive and accomplished.
