Welcome to 2010, where kids still want to watch a Sesame Street video but not on some sort of old fashioned disk. Coming soon, these stylish kids will be able to watch Elmo, Big Bird and all their favorite CTW friends directly on their parent’s computers via USB.

The Sesame Street Video USB dongle from ATP has one video per USB key, as well as some extra storage to boot. The rep told me that it would be half video, half storage. And though she wouldn’t give me an exact amount of storage, she said the extra storage would hold “400 photos”.

The video content itself will be protected however, so it can’t be deleted off of the key, or moved to another device. You’ll need the USB key to play the movie. It is mac and windows compatible, though it will play on a proprietary player that is also on the USB key.

Currently they’ve got six character videos lined up – Ernie, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Elmo, Big Bird, Grover as well as the Sesame Street sign.

Sesame Street Video USB should be available in March of this year at a retail price of $24.99.
