Without a doubt, the coolest “booth” I saw at CES this year belonged to Samsung. Their entry-way “garden” (pictured below) was genuinely cool (the ceiling was mirrored so it appeared twice as big as it actually was). But aside from the that and the crazy thin LED televisions I’ll be writing about later, Interactive Whiteboard gives a glimpse of what the classroom might be like in the future.
You can pretty much guess what it is from the picture – a giant 82 inch “e-board” multi- touch screen display that not only allows someone to write on the screen, but also call up video, audio, or anything else that a computer might be assist with in the teaching process.
Who knows if stuff like this will ever come to pass (it’s hard to imagine public schools ever affording what is now the largest touch screen made), but it’s cool to see that companies are thinking of innovating in places other than the living room.
