LEGO Toy Story: In (Some) Stores Now

LEGO Toy Story

The images on the LEGO Toy Story websitemay still read “COMING SOON,” but as my wide-eyed 3-year-old confirmed on a trip to Walmart the day after Christmas, LEGO’s 2010 Toy Story toys have already started trickling into retail stores. (UPDATE, thanks to Babble commenter Kat: We now have LEGO Shop links — and cheaper prices — below!)

LEGO Toy Story Woodys Roundup

Woody’s Roundup! is one of the bigger and more impressive-looking sets in the upcoming line, totaling 502 pieces and including minifigures of Stinky Pete the Prospector, Jessie and, of course, Woody and Bullseye. Unlike some of the other LEGO Toy Story sets, it also seems to be widely available, with both Amazon and Toys”R”Us listing the set for $50 and $60, respectively. Of course, you could always go the route I did and hit up brick-and-mortar stores — better to try your luck there than to drop $100+ as this person did via eBay.

Price direct from LEGO Shop: $49.99

LEGO Toy Story Construct-a-Zurg

The 118-piece Construct-a-Zurg set, which I can happily confirm was on at least one Austin, Texas, toy shelf as of this past week, has already started arriving on eBay and Craigslist– and while you’re more than welcome to bid through the roof on the thing, keep in mind that the toy’s official brick-and-mortar debut is just a month away. (Note to self: Next time, buy two in advance.) Oh, and lest we forget Zurg’s more lovable nemesis, there’s also a Construct-a-Buzz.

Price direct from LEGO Shop: $24.99 (ditto for Construct-a-Buzz)

LEGO Toy Story Army Men on Patrol

Hands up if you’ve seen the minifigure-happy Army Men on Patrol set in stores yet. I haven’t, but I do recommend checking out Amazon, where the set is currently listed for $14.99. Or, you know, you could always pay around $10 more (minimum) for the thing on eBay. (Note to collectors: Patience is still a virtue.)

Price direct from LEGO Shop: $10.99

LEGO Toy Story Buzzs Star Command Spaceship

Not feeling the bigger Zurg? Get a smaller version of the bad guy, along with Buzz Lightyear and accompanying vehicle, in the 257-piece Buzz’s Star Command Spaceship set. $38 from Amazon, with at least one customer rating to attest to the thing’s availability.

Price direct from LEGO Shop: $29.99

LEGO Toy Story Woody and Buzz to the Rescue

Woody and Buzz to the Rescue? Sounds like a plan — but before you go dropping $60 on the thing via eBay (where that’s one of the more reasonable prices), keep in mind that Amazon has the set listed at a far more reasonable $19.99. No customer ratings, of course, so as with some of the others here, this still could be premature.

Price direct from LEGO Shop: $19.99

Of course, these are just a few of the LEGO Toy Story items we should be seeing over the next few months — drop us a line if you see more!

You can also buy them directly from the lego store website
http://shop.lego.com/WhatsNew/

In the “Recently added new products” section, click on Toy Story and you can see all the new stuff. There’s a limit of 5 per customer.

Can you tell my son loves legos? :)
