For those anti-leash parents who still want all clan members at arms length, enter the Tag-A-Long. This neon colored, portable handle attaches to pretty much any stroller or shopping cart to give your “big kid” a place to hold on as you trek through the streets.
Seeing that I only have one non-walking tot, I borrowed a little helper to test out the product. Off to the grocery store we went, and here are my findings:
Easy to attach? Check! You literally just loop it onto a bar — no snaps, velcro or ties to come undone.
Convenient and helpful? Maybe it was the novelty of the tag-a-long, but my little helper loved having somewhere to hold while still playing with the baby and touching every single thing she passed.
Safe? My main concern was that a toddler could easily yank down his/her sibling, but at least the grocery cart was too heavy to worry about that. The company specifies not to leave children unattended and to teach them not to tug at the tag-a-long. But the fact that it’s clean and sanitary is definitely a plus.
Buy them here for $9.99 plus shipping (recommended for ages 3 and up).
