IKEA Soft Toys Aid: Good Deeds, Great Website

IKEA Soft Toys Aid

If there’s a cuter charitable experience than IKEA’s Soft Toys Aid, we have yet to discover it. The site, which lets you arrange a Live Aid-style musical chorus of stuffed animals, is designed to promote IKEA’s Soft Toys Aid program, which donates 1 euro (or $1.47 U.S.) to UNICEF and Save the Children with every IKEA Soft Toy purchased between Nov. 1 and Dec. 24. (In case you’re curious, that comes to around $16.7 million U.S. since the program started in 2003.)

The actual IKEA Soft Toys range in price from $1.99 to $19.99 and cover everything from stocking stuffers to larger snuggle buddies. They have excellent Swedish names, too, even if your kids may opt for something other than “Barnslig Flodhäst” (my personal favorite) once their toys arrive.

Check out the whole collection at IKEA — after you’ve finished your Soft Toys choral performance, of course.
