Do you have the kids and the subsequent the kids’ music? Does it the stink? Yeah, that’s common. Too common. Yes, I’m riled up now.

Enter The Jimmies:Â Savage. Beast. Calmed.
Except for the parts with the dancing.

The Jimmies started by accident when Ashley Albert, who you may recognize from my Twitter stream, and her kindie-rock band (that’s kid + indie for you squares) was hired to perform. The only problem being that Ashley Albert did not have a kindie-rock band. This is where The Jimmies entered the first time.
She made some songs. She made a record. She started a band. The band won awards and acclaim. In that order.
Their music is catchy enough for a parent, but made for a kid. Or possibly vice versa.
Earlier this month The Jimmies released a CD, Make Your Own Someday, and a DVD, Trying Funny Stuff, the latter consisting of songs, videos, a live concert, karaoke sing-a-longs, a bonus live CD and a behind-the-scenes documentary. Guess what? They’re both awesome.
That’s my official opinion and I know from awesome. I have the kids – and their music? It doesn’t the stink.

I love this CD. Picked it up at a show last year. Cool to be uncool. Best Kids Song Ever. Because, let’s face it, I am and I am.
