Manhattan Toy Adds Horses to Its Stables

Ask a kid what they’re favorite animal is, and somewhere around age 3 or 4, “horse” takes over the conversation. I remember reading an article last year by a dad who revealed his daughter’s favorite athlete was named Eight Belles.  A strange name until he revealed it was a Kentucky Derby contestant.

But searching for a horse toy that’s worthy of the triple crown of kid-dom is tough stuff. You want it to be cuddly. Stand up to a lot of love. And actually offer up some fun.

Manhattan Toy’s new Star Willow Stables line fits the bill nicely. The horses are soft but made to stand on their own, with poseable legs. Each sports a long mane and tail – with a brush for hours of making over the pony coif (sold separately is an entire grooming kit). They get a leg up on a lot of the competition based on sheer size – they’re big enough to cuddle up under their arms at night and soft enough too.
