You know who’s turning 40? NERF! This year Hasbro’s NERF brand is the big four-o. To commemorate all those years of NERF-dom, EA Play has released NERF “N-Strike” Elite which is a follow up from last years NERF “N-Strike” (the non-Elite version!).
It’s a shoot ‘em up game but instead of shooting bullets and amo, the avatars are shooting soft NERF darts from their blasters. For the Wii, you plug in your Wii remote into the blaster which features a “Red Reveal” lens. When looking though this at the screen you can decode secret messages, hide hidden messages and find the enemies weak points. Also, you can customize your NERF blasters avatars, pick between four different characters and the blaster also can be used offline – it comes with soft NERF darts that can be used for some light target practice.
NERF N-Strike Elite is suitable for ages 10 and up (but the NERF dart shooter if suitable for the 6 and up set) . If you are up for shoot ‘em games which have a softer side, then this fits the bill. Available for $59.95 here.
