Some of my most memorable disappointments of childhood have to do with toys. So often, it seemed like the toys I got (after relentless begging and pleading) that were based on kid’s movies or television, never seemed to live up to the coolness of their onscreen inspirations. Ah, but I’m confident that any kid lucky enough to get one from a new line of Toy Story toys will not suffer this reaction. These toys, Buzz and Woody in particular, are whiz-bang fab! Disney describes them as “film accurate” — an adjective I’d agree with. For instance, here are just a few of Buzz’s attributes:
- Laser button with laser light and sound
- chest button for pop-out wing action with flashing wing tips
- Talk Back mode
- Flying and landing sound effects
- over 60 sayings in the original movie voice
And the list goes on!
Woody is similarly tricked out. Indeed, both are just like Andy’s in the movie.
In addition to Buzz Lightyear ( $43.49 on Amazon) and Sheriff Woody ($39.99 on Amazon), the collection includes an RC Remote Control Car, Rex, Bucket O’ Soldiers and 3 Pack Space Aliens.
