The folks at Babble were lucky enough to rub elbows with author Joe Brown–father of makeup mogul Bobbi–during a children’s reading he gave earlier this month. Not only is Joe a really nice, down-to-earth guy who really connects with kids, but his book is fantastic. (Plus, on every page, he includes definitions of select words so your child can increase their vocabulary!)

The Flights of Marceau: Race to the Rescue is a whirlwind story about cabdriver Marceau with a very vivid imagination. After a wild hurricane, we see Marceau hop on a cheetah named Rita in fast-paced plot to feed all the animals at the zoo who were neglected. Does he make it in time? You’ll have to read to find out! And keep your eyes peeled–Joe has plans to continue his Marceau series with new installations!
