Rubik’s TouchCube: Are You Feeling It?

Touchscreen Rubiks Cube

Remember Simon? That’s OK — your kids don’t either, but on a purely visual level, it’s the first gizmo this retro-futuristic Rubik’s TouchCube brings to mind. From a tactile sense, the 3″ cube works the same way as its paleolithic big sibling, except instead of manually twisting and turning the cubes to match their colored sides, you swipe your finger across sections of lights. I know what you’re thinking, and the cube’s designers thought of it, too: Thanks to a motion-detecting accelerometer, the TouchCube always knows which face is active — meaning, you won’t accidentally un-solve the side you’ve just put in order.

Oh, yeah, there’s one other thing that separates Rubik’s TouchCube from the original: the price. Get yours for $149.99 from Best Buy.
