Fisher-Price TRIO Building System
Take the Imaginext building sets you already know and love, add some simplified snap-together action, and you’ve got TRIO, Fisher-Price’s new line of chunky construction toys aimed at kids in the 4-7 range. (Though, as a test of TRIO with my 3-year-old proved, you can go a wee bit younger.)
Complete with a battering ram and two figures, the 45-piece TRIO Watch Tower shown here provides the centerpiece of your medieval fortress. You can build the set as shown, snap it into sections, or do away with the instructions altogether and build things on your own terms. TRIO pieces are interchangeable, so you can even mix and match with other sets. Might I suggest the Siege Tower or the King’s Gatehouse? Yeah, I might.
