As I wind down the coverage of ABC 2009 this week, I was going through my notes and I realized I hadn’t written about the Minui HandySitt yet. More than a high chair, they like to think of it as a “Seating System” that will work from infancy to toddler in the home as well as out in the rest of the world.
The system works in two pieces, a base and a portable high chair. The high chair locks into the base when you are at home (pictured above), and when you want to take it out (to a restaurant, Grandma’s house or whatever) it folds flat and has an easy handle for carrying. When your child grows out of the portable high chair stage, it can be adjusted with alternate legs (for an additional $32) so that it works as a reclining seat on the floor (pictured below). Then at that point, the base becomes it’s own toddler chair (bottom picture). It’s extremely functional and really looked like something you could use for many years, but what I loved about it was the dark chocolate brown wood with the black trim.
The High Chair costs $149.99 and the base (which has been tested to 300 lbs.) will be available around Christmas time for $169.99.
