Disney has launched its Disney Digital Books site, where, for $8.95 a month, kids can access electronic versions of over 500 new and classic Disney books. While Disney’s digital books mimic some features we’ve seen in handheld electronic kids’ books — namely, the ability to interact with pages and “speak” individual words — you don’t need a standalone reader to use them. The whole experience takes place online, and you can even test-drive up to eight different books during the free trial period. [Disney Digital Books]
