We’ve all seen leashes on toddlers, and I have yet to meet a parent who doesn’t have an opinion one way or another about them. The Gripster is a product kind of like a leash, but with one difference. Instead of attaching it to your child’s torso, your child is given a fun purple monkey ring to hold that has a cord attached back to the parent. Kind of like an extension of holding hands, the theory is your child will want to hold the Gripster, and you’ll have better control of your child.
If the Gripster handle doesn’t work, or you’re in a situation where you don’t necessarily trust your child to hold onto it, there’s a velcro wrist strap you can use.
It should be out in stores in January of 2010, and will be available for $14.99. Check it out at ViveVita.com
