ABC Kids Expo 2009: Zigo Leader X1 Bicycle Lets One Child Ride In Front

I told you last year about the awesome Zigo bicycle I found kind of off to the side and in the back of the first floor of the ABC convention, and this year they got a better location up on the top floor. Personally I’m hoping it’s illustrative of good things happening for Zigo, because in addition to the Mango trailer I told you about last week, they’ve also got a very cool newer, single seat version of their bicycle, the X1.

The bike is designed  to accommodate one child riding up front (as opposed to their two child offering last year, now labeled the X2) making the front a bit narrower than before. This allows the X1 to  boast a 30% decrease in turning radius from the X2, making it easier to navigate city streets. It still has all of the removable stroller / jogging stroller  functionality the Zigo X2 had, as well as a slightly lower price than the X2.

The Zigo Leader X1 will cost $1350 for the 3 speed, and $1499 for the new 7 gear version of the bicycle. It will be available soon, but in the mean time get more info about what they do at MyZigo.com.
