ABC 2009: Bugaboo Shows Off All New Diaper Bags BB01 & BB02

The previous Bugaboo diaper bags were pretty basic, but this year Bugaboo seems to be enhancing their luxury product status by revamping their bags, with fashion as the focus.

The rep told me it was intended to be a “collection beyond diaper bag,” for with and without the baby. And while both bags were fairly large, apparently big bags are in this year (or so my wife tells me). Each bag has the standard diaper bag stuff (changing pad, bottle holder and food container) but it can all be removed for when you don’t need it. The BB01 version is a little smaller, but both are free-standing and have these very wide straps (about four inches across). Looking at it I didn’t think it would be that comfortable, but I have to say it was pretty comfortable when I tried it on.

Each of these straps also have an inside liner of black, rubbery material. And although they can’t say it outright, it seems to me to be fairly obviously designed to fit over stroller handles.

The BB01 & BB02 bags will be out October 1st, with the canvas BB01 going for $129.95, leather going for $229.95 and the larger leather BBO2 going for $299.95. See? Luxury prices for a luxury brand.
