ABC Kids Expo 2009: Orbit releases OrganicFR Flame Retardant Foot Muff
I went into detail yesterday about the new Orbit G2 stroller, but that wasn’t the only brand new thing they were showing at ABC this year. They also have a new line of Organic textiles for strollers and car seats called OrganicFR, and my favorite was the Organic FR foot muff.
The “FR” in OrganicFR fabric apparently stands for “flame retardant” because it’s made up of naturally flame retardant cotton/wool blend. (Who knew wool was flame retardant? I sure didn’t). On the foot muff, the area around the feet even expands a bit to grow with your child, and (in my decidedly un-scientific research) it seems to be the only flame retardant foot muff out there.
It will work with any stroller (not just Orbit’s) and should be available in December. The smaller infant version will retail for $140 and the larger toddler version will cost $160.
