ABC Kids Expo 2009: Bugaboo Updates The Wheeled Board For The Bee

I told you all about Bugaboo’s new partnership with (RED) yesterday (and the new (RED) branded Chameleon), but the partnership wasn’t the only new thing they had at the show. Bugaboo has also updated their wheeled board. (Detailed picture below.)

For the uninitiated, the Wheeled Board is exactly that – a board that goes behind the stroller and allows an older sibling to stand up and ride with their brother or sister. The new version is a bit smaller, has drainage holes for rain water, and now fits on all Bugaboo Strollers including the Bee. The older version will be phased out.

Unfortunately the improvements also come with an extra $20 increase in price. The new and improved Bugaboo Wheeled Board will be available in October and retail for $99.95.

Looks like with larger wheels it will also be better for bumpier terrain. I’ve been looking for a riding board for cobblestones – maybe this is it! Do you know if it will still fit the Revelo Twoo?

I asked the Bugaboo rep this morning. They can’t guarantee their board will work on anything other than a Bugaboo stroller. If you’re looking for another wheeled board, there’s one called “Buggy Board” by Lascal that you should check out. I’m pretty sure that one works on all kinds of strollers. Thanks for reading!

Actually, I was wondering if the TWOO (a seat that fits on the prior bugaboo board) will still fit on the new board. I was about to order one, but I’d much rather have this new board. Thanks for checking!!!

curious, i heard they were doing something new to the bee in sprint 2010..any ideas what? new design? should i wait to get a bee until next year?

Hi, No the Twoo chair doesnt fit the new board. I purchased both last weekend, was told by the store the new board does fit twoo,. When we got home and tried it we found it doesnt fit. Luckily the store refunded our money for the new board and we found the old board at another store

where can i purchase this new board from i’m drawing blanks with large department stores and the smaller stokists as they are phasing out bugaboo! need one asap
