Last year at the show I saw and wrote about one of the most innovative crib designs I’d ever seen – the Alma crib from Bloom. And while last year it was brand new and not available, now it’s shipping in four colors.
In case you missed it last year, the Alma crib is sized somewhere between a crib and a bassinet, and consequently it can be used for both purposes. But the coolest part about it is still the way it folds up for easy storage (shown below). In my mind it’s the perfect crib for a high-end hotel or a high-end grandparent to have in their closet. And if you’re considering one of those awful frilly bassinets at Baby’s R Us, then take a look at the Alma.
The Alma Crib is available for $400 with caster wheels. The coil mattress (which because of it’s odd size is something you pretty much have to buy with it) costs an additional $160. The colors are (for the record):
Gala Green
Coconut White
Cappuccino (brown)
and Harvest Orange
