While there’s nothing wrong with plain old Elmer’s (particularly the always-low price of the stuff), the Italian-made Coccoina glue stick offers a deliciously scented argument in favor of springing for something more extravagant. Non-toxic, non-solvent and acid-free (a plus if you’re using it for crafts such as scrapbooking), Coccoina has the almond-y delicious scent of marzipan — which, of course, means you’ll want to keep it away from little ones who’ve yet to learn that glue isn’t an edible. Older kids and the rest of us, on the other hand, will swoon for the stuff.
