Birthday Rings: A Celebrated German Tradition
It may look like a simple wooden ring with cute little figurines, but the Birthday Ring is actually far more symbolic. Want to start your own way to commemorate birthdays? Read on…
On your child’s first birthday, you place one candle in the ring and fill the rest of the holes with figures. You continue to do this for each birthday and by year twelve or fifteen, the entire ring will be illuminated. You can read more about the tradition here!
