New For Little Girls: Liv Dolls

Alexis - In Package
Watch out Barbie! There are the new dolls in town. Daniela, Sophie, Katie and Alexis are Liv dolls who live the teenage lifestyle.

There’s Katie, a skateboarder, Alexis, who wants to launch her own fashion line, Sophie who dreams to be a celebrity stylist, and Daniela, who DJs and sings.

The dolls are $19.99 each and come with fashion accessories, a wig and an online access code to livworld.com. They are recommended for girls ages six to ten. Do you like the way they look?

Seriously?

I would rather get a hundred paper cuts than buy those for my kids. They look like Barbie dolls with a little more ambition.

I love the Liv dolls! My girls seriously will not put them down. They have lots more movement than any of the other dolls we have, and the girls really like their wigs. Thumbs way up!

They’re fashionable but in a more appropriate way than Bratz. Girls do not need to be divas to be “cool”.

these dolls are great! i recommend them, 5 stars

Parents owe it to their children to take a closer look. Their ’super secret diaries’ are full of every sexist cliche: the girls hate to study, focus entirely on shopping for the ‘latest’ fashions so they’ll be cute for boys, and borrow heavily from slang that is simply annoying. Yes, the Bratz line were all about sluttines, but this line is just all about being constant consumers without an ounce of self-worth. A Liv girl only has social standing so long as she’s got the latest hairstyle, fashions, and boyfriend. Do your daughters a favor and skip this expensive trash.

They are better than any other doll. They’re super seceret diaries to me aren’t sexist, every girl likes a guy at one point and yeah i know they say they wish they didn’t have homework but that THEY”RE OPINION and thats YOUR OPINION but MY OPINION is different. Sometimes i know somepeople like homework but at one point you don’t want to do homework but you have to. Yeah sure they shop but that is what they like you may not and all opinions matter. My opinion is they are the best dolls ever!

LOVE these dolls! amazing, love the wigs. xxx the 14 points of articulation just win me over as well as those beautiful glass eyes. as for the so called sexist cliches, there arent any ! obviously you can expect them to talk about boys! as if theyd introduce a lesbian concept to girls! imagine the controversy if they did that. every child will like a boy no matter what the age, thats why you get childhood sweethearts. my two daughters loved these, i know its money well spent they play with these dolls MORE than any other. love these, make your daughters day and buy one. thumbs up to these beauties!

these are really just bratz and barbie dolls but “new”
don’t you want your kids LEARNING? in stead of talking about boyfriends? i mean i have seen 2 year olds playing with these dolls and when they are like 5 they are going to realize these are just DOLLS!
dont spend ur money.

bieberlover commented on Mar 06 10 at 11:00 am

i think they are really cool in all but really 15$ just for a doll with paper?wow

bieberlover commented on Mar 06 10 at 11:01 am

Sure, their secret diaries go on about boys, but girls aged 5~10 have crushes too. So if they didn’t have crushes, it would’ve been strange! Besides, none of them actually have a boyfriend (unlike Barbie who is dependent on Ken). As for the slang, Daniela uses a lot of ‘like’ and ‘OMG’ but the rest of the girls are better influences. They do have study sessions for calculus exams and Alexis is a born leader who takes a lot of AP classes.
I got this for my younger cousins, seven and nine years old and they loved it.

Emily S B commented on Mar 06 10 at 11:25 pm

Huh, everybody thinks they’re cool. Are you guys paid to post that? Because they seem completely vapid to me.

Blue commented on Mar 08 10 at 3:47 pm

The reason why I like these dolls better is they just seem more creative than bratz and barbie.I mean, they have dreams, dirays, and lives. barbie was just too perfect she had blue eyes and blonde hair which i think is not really that cute but the blonde doll in this girl group wairs glasses so she wont be so perfect.I think that these dolls are more realistic barbies are WAY diffrent than Liv dolls because they move more there hair changes they have some problems which is more realistic.Barbie was just too unrealistic and perfect.Besides dont you think it’s time for a new type of doll?Barbie has been around for 50 years that is enough. If you don’t like the doll thats okay just don’t be rude about it because it is a great doll okay.

gina commented on Mar 15 10 at 4:28 pm

They don’t look much different than barbies…
