Hand Painted Kid Portraits With a Groovy Flair

When I found this incredible portrait artist (he hails from my neck of the woods), I was digging his flair for making music on a canvas. How else can you explain the shadow-intensive reproductions of the faces of some of the world’s greatest musicians?

Brock Lady makes music you can hang on a wall. And the good news? He paints kids too.

After years of selling in galleries and through commissions, Lady has recently opened a commission space on his new Etsy site, providing parents with an avenue to have their child’s vibrancy captured by an artist who mixes music and medium with a groovy flair. Through shadow, he brings out the light, and he’s taking commission for 8 x 10 pen and ink drawings for just $50.
