Meet Benny Casa the Lovable Lion

The other day I wrote about the Alexander Girard Memory Game created by font kings House Industries. There is another item in their limited edition collection I’ve fallen in love with the Marilyn Neuhart Benny Casa Doll.  Once upon a time, the legendary designer Ray Eames (yes…THAT Eames) sent Alexander Girard one of Marilyn Neuhart’s Mexican cotton dolls.  That was the birth of a decades long collaboration between Girard and Neuhart that resulting in characters like the above Benny Casa Doll.

This doll produced for House Industries was handmade in the USA and is made from Mexican cotton from a family-owned mill. As with the other items in the collection, this one ain’t cheap. It goes for $100, which mean it’s more for show then playtime. You can pick one up here.
