Equal parts pachinko, pinball and pong, the kid-friendly PC game Peggle is a breeze to start playing but a beast to master, as we told you when we first got addicted to the game back in 2007. Well, our addiction’s gone through multiple awesome iterations — including more recent updates for consoles and iPhone — but nothing’s compared to Peggle’s latest mashup with World of Warcraft.
Available now as a free download, Peggle: World of Warcraft Edition boasts 10 themed levels with backgrounds done by artists from the game’s developer, Blizzard Entertainment, but the game’s core features (and addict-ability) haven’t changed a bit. Now, as a dad/game nerd myself, I realize that your grade-schooler probably isn’t playing WoW, and that you personally might be averse to the online multiplayer sensation — neither one matters in this case; all the cute, cuddly Peggle characters are intact and as benign as ever, and, well, did we mention that it’s free?
