I love coloring. But I have found I might be one of only a handful adults out there who share this obsession with the most kid-friendly of activities.
So if you’re not in it for the long haul, how about popping a DVD in that will help your kids learn color recognition, practice staying within the lines and throw in a little storytelling?
The new Crayola Color Stories Interactive DVD set, made in partnership with Screen Life Games, has managed to integrate true interactivity into a DVD. Packed with three coloring books and three boxes of real Crayola crayons, every box includes a movie with three adventures. While the story unfolds, so do the coloring activities, so your kids can match up what they’re doing on the page to what’s happening on screen.
In the tradition of the best “sneak it in there” educational games, kids get a good taste of coloring fun packed with shapes, colors, sizes and following directions.
The three coloring books are all the same – so they’ll last one kid for several viewings of the DVD (and its separate story lines) or you can keep a set of kids occupied for an afternoon. Get the Underseas Adventure version of the Crayola Color Stories Interactive DVD over at Amazon for 19.99.
