If you’d told me four years ago my pre-schooler would have a better shoe closet than me, I’d have gotten on my righteous soapbox and told you to get your Imelda Marcosian hands off my precious baby.
Fast forward four years, and I’m hanging my head . . . and tilting it slightly to check out the view down on her tootsies. At least the kid’s got style.
Because I had her help me pick out her summer sandals this year, and the results were fancy . . . and fun.
The first, Stride Rite’s Julie are the wear to a summer wedding or a nice summer barbecue sandals that every little girl needs to have. What makes them easy on and off for tots is what makes them easy-to-fit on growing toddler feet for mom and dad. The cushioned heel offers up good support and still let her look like she could float through a little garden. And the seventies color scheme makes Mom think, hey, I could have had this look when I was her age? But it looks so much better on her, doesn’t it? Get them now – on sale! They’re $39.99 straight from Stride Rite.
For fun, we hit the playground, so it’s no surprise the Playground Collection at Stride Rite is where I found these light-hearted numbers. The Rue are half-sneaker/half-sandal and totally washable (thank you Stride Rite gods). With an antimicrobial treatment to save sweet feet from the summer heat and a moisture wicking inside, they almost don’t need to be cute. But there’s nothing like hot pink on a hot summer day to get a little girl dancing. Get them now – they’re on sale too! They’ve been reduced to $34.99 over at Stride Rite.
