They tout them as a wholesome alternative to the dolls on the market, and they weren’t kidding. The Only Hearts Club dolls have clothes on! And no make-up! And did we mention the clothes?
They’re also cute as a button, if you can get used to the realistic eyes (they grow on you, I promise). Coupled with pets to bring home the family feel, the Only Hearts Club is stocked with girls from a variety of backgrounds (bonus points for diversity) and a variety of clothing choices – but they are all refreshingly normal. Think hoodie sweatshirts with ruffled skirts, actual jeans and sneakers.
More bendable than Barbie with more believable proportions to boot, they still allow kids to change out their clothes and accessories (and those cute little dogs).
Lily Rose was my pick for the sweet smattering of freckles across her cheeks, but you can get a little girl who looks just like YOUR girl, and send the Bratz off to the thrift store. Get them from Target.
